Words that you might have heard either from someone or even yourself. They hurt. The pain that is caused by them is even worse than being hit. Bullying can be either with words or with hitting. It doesn't matter really which one because both hurt sociologically.
Elementary School, a time of happiness, naps, and making friends. Here is where I believe a lot of my problems started. I was told things like I was fat as a pig, or that even with make-up I was still ugly (I never wore make-up my school wouldn't allow it). If someone where to tell me this now I would laugh in their face. But, when you are a 5th grader struggling with weight and, making friends it made an impact on my life, negatively.
For the longest time I thought no one wanted to be my friend because, I was fat and ugly. I still tend to think that at times. But, I realized that people aren't going to be around me 24/7 and if they don't want to be around me at all is not because I am fat or ugly but, because they don't want to give me a chance.
Just remember that someone was a bully to you because someone was a bully to them. And, the person that bullied them was bullied by someone else and, so on and so forth. Stop the chain reaction of bullying. If someone is being mean to you, be nice to them. Start a new chain of people being nice to their bullies. Same goes for yourself. If someone bullies you don't bully you. Don't say anything negative. Have a great day and don't forget to SMILE!
